At Greasby Junior School, we believe that good attendance is fundamental to every child reaching their full potential. Regular and punctual attendance ensures that children can fully access their learning, make strong progress, and feel confident as part of our school community.
We value working in close partnership with our families to achieve excellent attendance together. When children attend school every day and arrive on time, they benefit not only academically but also by developing positive routines and habits that will support them throughout their education and into adult life.
At Greasby Junior School, we actively promote and celebrate good attendance and punctuality. Where attendance does not meet our high expectations, we are committed to working alongside families in a supportive and constructive way, putting effective strategies in place to help secure improvement and ensure every child has the best possible chance to succeed.
Leave During Term Time
We kindly ask parents to avoid taking children out of school during term time wherever possible. If an absence during term time is unavoidable due to exceptional circumstances, parents must complete an Application for Leave During Term Time form. This should be returned at least two weeks before the requested absence and before confirming any bookings. Parents will receive a written response within one week of submitting the form, confirming whether the absence will be authorised or unauthorised.
