At Greasby Junior School, the health, safety and well-being of every child is our highest priority. We expect all staff, governors and volunteers to share our commitment to keeping pupils safe.
We listen carefully to our children and take seriously anything they tell us. All staff receive regular training in Child Protection and safeguarding, and pupils are taught who they can speak to if they ever feel worried or unsafe. Staff are trained to notice signs of physical or emotional harm, neglect, or any behaviour that may indicate a child is at risk, and must report all concerns to a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Our safeguarding procedures follow the guidance of the Wirral Safeguarding Team, and our Child Protection Policy reflects this. There may be rare occasions when our concern for a child means we need to consult with external agencies. Wherever possible, we will speak with parents or carers first unless doing so may place a child at further risk of harm.

Visitors to School
All visitors must sign in on arrival and read our safeguarding information. A safeguarding leaflet is available in the entrance area for all visitors to view.
