PSHE
Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) is about relating to other people, respecting the feelings of others, developing loving, caring relationships as friends, parents and members of a family and other groups. At Greasby Junior School, we follow the ‘Jigsaw’ scheme of work, which leads on from the same scheme of work delivered at Greasby Infant School.
The Governors have accepted the RSE policy and, inline with the new statutory expectations, it is to be expected that every child will take part in this programme, but parents may withdraw their children from the sex education provided. (As identified in the policy, which is available on the school’s website.) Where sex education is taught, it is delivered with care and sensitivity and at an age-appropriate level.
