At Greasby Junior School, we value strong and effective communication with parents and carers. We believe that by working in close partnership, we can create a nurturing environment where every child thrives.
Our communication aims to be clear, comprehensive, two-way, and timely, ensuring parents and carers are well-informed and engaged in school life.
We use Arbor as our main communication platform for messages, emails, and payments.
Parents can also stay updated through our weekly newsletters, school website, and social media (X – formerly Twitter: @GreasbyJunior), where we celebrate our pupils' achievements.
If you need to speak to a member of staff, you can contact the school office via phone or email. Teachers are also available at the end of the school day for quick chats, or appointments can be arranged for longer discussions.
Unfortunately, it is important to note that teachers do not have the time in the mornings for long conversations as they need to get into class and teach. Lessons start at 8:50 am. While teachers are happy to speak briefly in the mornings for essential information, they have a duty of care to all the children in their class. With this in mind, parents are required to make an appointment after the school day (ideally after 3:35 pm) in order to have a more detailed conversation about any concerns or the sharing of information. Appointments can be made at the school office (Tel: 0151 677 1837).
For absence reporting, please notify the school by 8:30 am on the first day via Arbor, phone, or email. Requests for planned absences should be submitted at least 10 working days in advance.
We also offer Parents’ Evenings, written reports, and opportunities to meet with class teachers, senior staff, and the SENCo for any concerns or support needs.

Together, we can support your child’s learning journey in a respectful and positive way.
