Religious Education

As a school we welcome children from all faiths, backgrounds and race. We celebrate our differences and seek to develop respect for the views of others. RE is taught in accordance with the Wirral Agreed Syllabus. The teaching, whilst being multi-faith, is predominantly Christian in emphasis. It is designed for children of all religious backgrounds. Parents have a right to withdraw their child from RE or collective worship. An extension to this is our collective worship. This is an important part of the day when the school gathers together to participate in an act of collective worship. This normally takes the form of an opening song and a story with a moral theme. Visitors, including the local clergy, lead assemblies each fortnight in order to widen the children’s learning experiences.
